Locked threads

I see my thread has been locked. click here

My next post was to say that I concede under overwhelming odds and to tick the thread resolved.
If left it would have just faded away without the need for it to be locked. Is the FE in a bad mood today as some of his responses to quite a few posts today have been quite sharp?

Threads are locked when

they are going nowhere

deteriorate into a squabble

lay the forum open to a lawsuit

Life's too short to worry about it.

I don't have a problem with any of that. Anyway, it's not the end of the world, just a tad irritating.

"I don't know why people get worked up about Armageddon. I mean, it's not as if it's the end of the world, is it?"

but a surefire way to bring one on is to post this kind of thread.

If you want to know why I locked a thread (in addition to being clearly told in the thread itself), just send me an email, I'll be only too happy to tell you again.

What I won't do is discuss it in a thread like this.

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
