Shouldn't that be snowmartian??

  Mr Mistoffelees 09:24 01 Oct 2008

Remeber what is happening in Manchester, that should be: non-gender-specific snowmartian.

  carver 09:39 01 Oct 2008

See, we have only been there for less than a year and already we have started global warming on that planet.

  carver 09:53 01 Oct 2008

Sorry, I don't want to be to PC about this but it should be:non-gender-specific snow-being, you have to remember that we are strangers on that planet and if there is any thing else living there you have to be considerate to-wards their gender, color, beliefs or shape they may be.

is an interesting development, but it's just the beginning for Phoenix. It's about to experience a Martian winter, and the temperature will plunge to minus 120 degrees centigrade.

That's cold.

as snowflakes.

It's snow from the moment it starts to fall, surely?

  peter99co 19:16 01 Oct 2008

The ice crystals fell through the clouds from 4km up down to about 2.5km

Near enough for me

FE -- according to the link the winter temperatures will bring about the demise of Pheonix - it has approx 6 weeks before this happens
