But what do you call it?

I am doing some language research and need some local dialect/slang for money.

I am in the west midlands, England, and we use words like:-

Cash.

Dosh.

Doe.

Ready's.

Wonga.

Spondoolies.

Any response welcome but please let me know your location.

I think 'doe' is actually spelt 'dough'.

Nevertheless, I'm in Sussex and we use all of those

I think you will fid it's 'Spondoolix'
But thats just the pronounciation used in the south.
No offence meant.
Where I now live 'Argent Liquid' is a term generally used. Just to add a little to the subject.

amongst my mates in North London, coinage, (rather than notes), has been called "Shrapnel", often shortenned to "Shrap"
