Things are moving along nicely for Iran in its quest for a nuclear bomb, rather frightening. How long do you think before they are bombed.
I know this Forum has been opened up as it were but thats a bit "heavy" for this Forum do you not think?
Now that is the $64,000, do I mean $64,000,000, question.
It's no good burying your head in the sand or one day soon you might hear on the news "London destroyed by terrorists with a-bomb"
From the way that the US and Britain have forced their way into Iraq, can you really blame Iran for wanting some bargaining power via the production or threatened production of nuclear weapons.
In perspective please. They have enriched plutonium to 3% whereas a bomb needs more like 86% enrichment. No, I am not complacent but they have a long way to go and we have reason to be more cautious about a gung-ho response.
PS. Are we close to the FE rules on debate?
*can you really blame Iran for wanting some bargaining power*Bargaining power for what? You think leaders that want nuclear weapons to bargain, and who threaten to "wipe other countries off the face of the earth" should be allowed to proliferate?Should govermnents be allowed to ignore or renounce the nuclear weapons non proliferation treaty, or UN resolutions, with impunity?
Uranium not plutonium. my correction
Yep, too close, and already there the usual signs of impending forum-based conflict, which is why this thread's going no further I'm afraid.
