Inland revenue SCAM be warned very convincing!!

This is convincing by any standards, Ive just had a email stating i am owed £285.31 & i must fill in the basic details, the "From" email address is "noreply@hmrc.gov.uk" so i thought Hey up maybe it is real...But ive since found this link..Hope it helps you & forwards this on..

even if the download in question is - as yours is - a Word document.

The Revenue will never, ever notify anyone about a tax refund via email.

Out of interest, have you ever told the IR your email address? and like banks a genuine IR communication would never ask for your personel details
