Good Evening All. Last one before I turn in, I’m knacked as I spent most of the afternoon and early evening rigging up my new Oasis Xtreme Filter and pump, a fiddly and quite tiring job - have you seen the size and felt the weight of these blooming things!!!

Anyhow, on with the show. Another clock tower and not a lump of water to be seen ;o} click here

That one I did recognise; there's a Gents in the pub (see my other reply)!

Gatehouse of Fleet (Dumfries & Galloway) 'Roadhouse on the (Water of) Fleet'. Geata-hus (Old English) 'roadhouse'; 'Fleet' (Old English river name - fleot, 'stream' or 'estuary'). The town was not founded until 1790 but the name is older. Such roadhoses were monastic in origin and therefore pre-16th-century.

I was interested to see that the image is from the Frith archive.

It contains over 365,000 photographs of towns and villages in Britain.

I use Francis Firth a lot in my efforts to solve Brumas's puzzles
