Good Evening All.
There’s not a lot you can say about this one really, I’m only glad I never had to ‘camp’ there!!

You can just see the Scotsman outside one of those tents with his cup of coffee, Ready Aye Ready.

Scout Hut, Bell Tents, must be a Jamboree

A clue before I turn in, it is in the West Country, G'Night All.

Only just logged on - Tregantle Fort, Whitsand Bay. Used to go rifle shooting on the ranges there.

Well Done. Tregantle Fort near Devonport.

Putting it near Devonport will upset the Cornish. It's a few miles west. Just north of where the photo was taken there is a fabulous view inland and to seawards. Usually an icecream van or burger van present. The rifel ranges are still used and the beach is closed when they are in use.
The don't camp in tents there any more and cow pats are more likely to be found in that area now.

In those days I suspect the caption writer didn't (A) gave a toss or (B) have a clue :o}}

"I’m only glad I never had to ‘camp’ there!!"

I've camped in much worse looking places than that!

Anyway, if it's in the West Country it can't be very bad.
