Identification Longshot/Talking Point 332

Good Evening All.
This is another GENUINE UNIDENTIFIED POSTCARD, unposted and with just the normal bog standard back.
A very large site, I don’t know what to make of it, it looks so damn neat and tidy! A model Factory or Hospital perhaps, or some kind of barrack?

All those vertical things on the main road suggest some thing that would probably have me expelled with ignomy if I identiied it.

I Googled R8196, and got this Canadian order form for building materials click here ... so I'm no wiser!

But the picture was definitely taken during the winter months, somewhere or another...

My friends have just departed and I haven't a clue also, however I have had an occasional drink, purely for medicinal purposes of course!

Going back more then 60 years- but where?
The thoughts go to a school visit to the Ovaltine Farm in Hertfordshire.
The firm was/is called Wandle and this was the place that bedtime drink was made.
A Google revealed many articles on the place but only partial shots.

I'd be tempted to rule out a military establishment coz there ain't a parade square.

First look and I thought of Bernard Mathews chicken factory.
Could it be some sort of Equine Hospital could it be stables and not barracks.
Not sure if it is water or grass on the r/hand side.
