Good Evening All

This a GENUINE UNIDENTIFIED POSTCARD of a golf course somewhere in the UK, unposted so no clues on the standard back.

Looks like an elevated tee with majestic views of the surrounding countryside. I get the impression that we are looking at a couple of 'serious' golfers with their own personal caddies and a couple of referees to apply the complex rules of competitive golf.

Wild guesses:- Cathkin Braes Golf Course or Auchinairn Golf Club, Springburn - both on the outskirts of Glasgow. [I hit 109 strokes for the 18 holes at Auchinairn ... one of the strokes was extra-ordinally superb.]

I had a look at Old Colwyn clubhouse which from one angle looked right. When I got the whole I realised that it was far too small. I wonder if it has been demolished and replaced by now?

  Woolwell 13:53 03 Aug 2014

It's close but not a complete match.

I did a Google image search which was useless. It included a C15 aircraft and an aircraft carrier at sea!

Does the ground look chalky? could it be in the SE?

  Woolwell 13:57 03 Aug 2014

The building in the back ground of the left photo looks close though Sunningdale

  Woolwell 14:03 03 Aug 2014

After all that I don't think it is Sunningdale.
