Anyone seen the latest Cesar dog food ad ?

Some TV ads are minor masterpieces. This one cleverly exploits the 'show them how much you care' tag-line that Caesar uses in its advertising. Nothing like a tug at the heartstrings to get the product off the supermarket shelves.

Boy meets girl.

Family opposition.

Boy loses girl.

Romeo and Juliet.

I think the best Ad recently seen on TV is the Army recruiting one showing the life of a pair of Army Boots! Very well thought out.

This is one of the early story ads that I can remember. But which was the first one?

Well, not a great story, a poem actually, but succinct and to the point.

Little pig

busy street

motor car

potted meat.

Some of the adverts are very well put together, but other are really dire. In the new Cesar advert it perhaps relates to how lonely people might get, with just an animal for friendship?.

Now with the Sheba advert, who wants to see a cat like celebrity prancing around with a seductive feline pose?.

And please don't mention dental toothpaste or other 'medical' product adverts, and the very knowledgeable person giving obvious professional and scientific advice!.

They're propaganda ads, not story ads.
