Anyone any idea when the new hose-pipe ban comes into force?

The main treatment plant for Gloucestershire is flooded and the reservoirs of treated water are nearly empty. We expect supplies to be cut off this afternoon. All the local supermarkets have run out of bottled water.....some people are over-reacting somewhat/eyes raise.

'ONE pound a week will supply water for an entire village in Tanzania', says Oxfam. So how come United Utilities charge me £35 a month for my three bedroom semi?

  GANDALF <|:-)> 12:12 22 Jul 2007

Workers in the UK are paid 'slightly' more than workers in Tanzania. Also people in Tanzania are unlikely to use anything approaching a peson in the UK uses...think flushing toilets and 2 showers a day etc.

Er..... sorry GANDALF <|:-)> it was just my poor atempt at humour.

It was my poor attempt at justifying economic variation ;-)0

GANDALF <|:-)>. Sorry to hear about your impending problem (just heard it on the news) My posting was obviously tongue in cheek knowing full well the seriousness of the situation. I wish you well.
