off the US production lines yesterday. The F-35B has already been the subject of criticism over its stealth and actual fighting capabilities. Nevertheless, at the moment it seems we could be getting some, and, I would guess, the variant F-35A for the RAF as well. TC. click here

The B-variant will be used on the two CVFs (scheduled to be commissioned in 2014) and the A-variant will be based at Lossiemouth. Each carrier will take up to 40-46 aircraft.

I still think they could utilise the V22 Osprey.
It even got in to the recent Simpsons Movie, but more because of it's failures!

The harrier was great to watch used to come to Lossie before going to maple flag, think it was 3 Sq that where all packed up ready to leave when one cab came back with the exhaust nozzles stuck pointing down hovered about 30-50 ft up then the engine cut out, down to earth with a thud bit of smoke and knackered airframe the ground crew rear party’s faces where a picture as they realized they’d need to stay and miss the fun in Canada
