Happy St. David`s Day

  anchor 16:05 28 Feb 2007

As those of you with Welsh roots will know, tomorrow, March 1st, is St. David`s Day.

My Mother was from the South Wales valleys, and I am proud to celebrate this day. I would like to wish you all a happy St. David`s Day with this page:

"As those of you with Welsh roots will know"

So, we're talking about plants/flowers/shrubs/trees, etc then are we?

I have no Welsh connection, however I thank you for your wishes. I have no idea how to spell the next phrase but "Yakki Da" or in pure Strine "If you can't drink your beer mate, pour it over your head"
Good luck tomorrow, don't get too much of the amber nectar!

The same to you anchor and any others. I have Welsh roots on my paternal grandma's side.

I've got leeks in the fridge - does that count has having Welsh roots? I also have a Welsh surname.

I come from the capital of Wales, Liverpool. Does that mean I can have a few Dark and Stormy's. There's lovely Boyo! Have a nice day Taff. Good luck to you.

but the 50% of my blood which is Welsh responds to the arrival of St David's day each year. I usually look upon it as marking the end of winter.
