There's always been gold in Ireland, mainly from the heart ;o)

My old uncle (RIP), who was rather eccentric, and from the back of beyond on the west coast of Ireland, was forever nagging me to bring over a metal detector, as he was sure he knew where there was gold buried in a three cornered field at the foot of Mount Nephin in Mayo. Maybe I should have taken his advice.

In reality there is gold and certain precious metals in most places, its the extraction thats the major problem.

I have a relation who spent some time in Papua New Guinea gold and other minerals prospecting. After two years he came back a much wiser but financially poorer person. He now works as a store manager for Asda!.
