That's a nice easy diversion!

Kincardine is not the place to be for the next few hours!

and with M8 blocked with jacknife lorry at Junction3 - all West Lothian buses off as untreated roads - Airport closed - updates every 1/2 hour = central Scotland is no go

As a matter of interest, how much weight or depth of snow can such a bridge carry before becoming dangerously overloaded?

There are several broken tree branches and many more bent right down in the garden this morning and the washing line looks to have stretched considerably under the weight of snow.

"central Scotland is no go"
My mother that originates from Blair Atholl always tells me of the pr-ewar days when it was normal to stock up on tinned food to tide you over for 6/8 weeks in case this happened. It regularly became a no-go for weeks at a time, left forgotten by the rest of Britain!
