hi , not pc related but can anyone help , got a 1998 Ford Escort ghia 1.8i zetec started to misfire , when i pulled the spark plug leads off the whole cavity where the plugs are was filled with water and found id lost approx 1 lte of water any ideas where it came from ? , ive cleaned all the water out and engine is ticking of nice as i type this , any help much appriciated .

Check the dipstick, is the oil emulsified?

Worst case secenario - cracked head / cylinder

next and most probable - head gasket gone

Best case - a water leak spraying on to the engine and water collecting in the plug voids - just dry out before removing plugs so no water gets in cylinder.
