I have an external hard drive that works fine, but as usb flash drives are so cheap thought of getting a 1 or 2GB device to back up work at both my office & home. But what make to go for??

Not a lot to choose between brands, IMNO,as the memory in the flash drives chips originate from just a few major manufacturers. I would suggest not going for the absolute cheapest, but apart from that...
Any of the brands on this pagclick here should be fine.

I was dissappointed with a new Crucial 512mb recently; cheap flimsy plastic. I usually buy the Corsairs with the rubber casing (the cheapest ones are plastic though).

What ever make you get, don't leave it in the car in this weather.

Am in the process of trying to extract the chip from the plastic blob, in the hopes of recovering he data from it.
