Doing a day trip there because the little one loves aeroplanes and it's a birthday present. Any tips on how to fill the day in with good activities?

She'll be having a party at the local "fun works" the day after. Fun works is an indoor play frame thing with slides, balls and all that stuff.

Going at the end of the month...

There is a great zoo and a great castle both of which will fill in a whole day if required

I have been looking at those on the Net, weather permitting it'll be them. Oh and energy levels... I believe the Zoo is on a steep hill :(

What about eateries, any good restaurants etc?

Gandalf yes I found all that but I was looking a bit of personal feedback, tips and hints. If everyone just "googled" PCAdvisor would be a very empty place ;)

is well worth a visit and there is a cafe inside and dungeons to crawl round. Depends on the age of the children but I think it's a must.

Toy museum just below the castle, Street direct from gate. Going down on the right side of the road

The castle, Childhood Museum and possibly the Zoo if I can fit them all in, in between shopping ;)

Chocolate Cake that monument looks scarey, but thanks!

Ticking as resolved.
