I do not believe that this click here should be classed as "freeware". You are encouraged to register and get the full version. Freeware? not at $50+

which is why we classified it as such - in common with other download sites.

You may be 'encouraged' to register, but that's not necessary, and you don't have to pay anything.

It appears to be a free trial program. IMO this is not the same as freeware.

I don't think so. I downloaded it. It installs OK but what you can do is limited. If you try to upgrade you are directed to their home page and then it can cost you $50+. Try it yourself. As Woolwell says, this is trial software, not freeware!

However, if you delete it, you are taken to another web page where you can then buy the full program for $20

CNet and Winaddons class it as Freeware, but Softpedia doesn't.

Inspector FE is on the case.

Many thanks.

But as it's become a free trial, it isn't now. Our downloads partner has taken a look at this, agrees, and will get the entry changed as soon as possible.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Matt
