Easter Monday 2008 Aldermaston Protest

  finlay.mitchel 20:04 10 Mar 2008

The Gov is building at Aldermaston again, huge buildings to test the next generation of nuclear missiles.

This Easter Monday campaigners plan to gather in numbers to protest our governments nuclear policies.

What to you think?

Anybody got more info?

That's good, I hope the Government continue to maintain our deterrent.

'This Easter Monday campaigners plan to gather in numbers to protest our governments nuclear policies.'

Let's hope that they are just as ineffective as they were last time.

I think the protestors will be lonely.

"campaigners plan to gather in numbers to protest our governments nuclear policies"

I've obviously lost touch.

I didn't realise that prats like this still existed.

There is often a contingent of strangely dressed 'protesters' camped outside the AWE. Usually consisting of about three women of questionable sexuality.

I doubt that this 'protest' will be much different.

Incidentally if you drive round the 'back' of the AWE (on the Aldermaston to Tadley road) you can see my late father's folly - two rather large vessels containing (I think) helium and nitrogen - Danger! risk of speaking with a squeaky voice and/or suffocation.

You asked for more information, I tried the rather revolutionary approach of using Google and searching on "Aldermaston new building" Here's one report click here and here's a raft of other links. click here

There that should keep you happy reading that little lot.

Its funny, I started a thread on free Wi-fi and forum members went beserk screaching 'we don't wanna pay for that!' but spent a few million on tin hats and nobody even raises an eyebrow.

and what's their sexuality got to do with anything?
