In June, F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone said there would definitely be a British Grand Prix in 2012, and that it would be at Silverstone if Donington failed to come through.

But more recently he has backtracked and said it is not certain there will be a Grand Prix in Britain next year at all.

Can't win them all!

Give it to Cadwell Park, that'll make it interesting for F1 cars, to say the least...

The reputation of F1 is not he best at present, teams are cutting costs or dropping out, there is a recession, people are spending a lot less, credit is not as readily available as in recent times...not the best time to invest millions in the 'sport'.

I think some of the local's will be very pleased. The area struggles as it is on other major race or event days. Traffic and the outlying road structure is a very serious problem for residents.
