This is brilliant. click here

I especially like UBI - Unexplained Beer Injury, and the idea of a "Dirt Bag Index"

Anyway, this got me thinking, when I used to do PC repairs, and there was no fault to the system other than user error we would put PBCK on the fault report "Problem Between Chair and Keyboard"

Anyone else got good work related euphemisms?

Where I work, we had to have some roof repairs made, and my manager is 'careful', when he has to spend out.

After getting some estimates, he settled on a builder, who done the job and headed it MCR roof repairs.

I saw the builder a while ago, and asked him -out of courisity- what is MCR.

His reply-- Minimum cost repair-- otherwise known as a bodge, I did not let my manager know this--would you?

Similar note in a Vet's records
WTB = watch the bugger!

Medicine (when trying to hide the truth)-
The disease is idiopathic = "I haven't a clue about this."
Iatrogenic = caused by previous treatment

Even writing out unreadable (to the public) prescriptions is now a dead art :O)

Years ago in very non PC days, callous doctors on geriatric wards sometimes added CFBUNDY to notes.
Completely F'd But Unfortunately Not Dead Yet. Thank goodness times have changed.

95% of the NHS have never heard of RSD. Suffers have been accused of malingering I was, told it's all in the mind, I was. You get passed around because nobody knows what it is
One forum renamed it.

Conversley far too many doctors put serious conditions like Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis down to IBS because it's easy to fob patients off. Unfortunately the treatment for Ulcerative Colitis is the exact opposite to the treatment for IBS (UC requires a low fibre diet, most doctors treat IBS with stuff like Fybogel, a high fibre food supplement), and our doctor nearly killed my ex-wife with that treatment.
In a way it was fortunate she did, as my wife got so ill she was rushed into hospital where there were a couple of real doctors who knew what to do...
