I heard the Cuckoo this morning, I see it even less than I hear it as they tend to be a bit on the shy side.

I haven't heard the Cuckoo in our area for years. Not sure why because among the hosts it uses for its eggs are Hedge Sparrows, Robins and Pied Wagtails of which there are still quite a few around here.

We've been hearing Cuckoos in Lea Valley park for the last couple of weeks, also been hearing the Wood pecker over our local park. A Sparrow Hawk swooped down in our garden the other week and grabbed itself lunch, this is all happening in east London.
