You mean all over for HD surely?

  powerless 08:49 08 Jan 2008

Umm...it could be over for HD-DVD as blu-ray has just seen warner bros going BD. It's not over till it's over.

Blue Ray seems to be more popular, prices still to high to buy yet.

Looks like Paramount may jump ship for Blu Ray as well as Warner. click here

At least a single format will settle the market and folks who want HD can choose with confidence.

It seems Paramount could be about to defect from the HD-DVD format too. It's better they sort this dilemma out right now rather than later, in the interests of the consumer. This indecisiveness on formats has meant many people needing new players have already gambled on HD-DVD. Now, it is looking more and more likely Blu-ray will hold sway, so they won't be best pleased about that. TC. click here

and I got a PS3 for Christmas too... looking like a better bit of kit all the time!

  laurie53 10:17 09 Jan 2008

Oh Gawd, I've been left behind again! I though I knew about HD-DVD and Blu-Ray, and now somebody's talking about PS3.

I thought that was some updated version of MP3.

Oh Well. Back to Google and Wikipedia!

Play Station 3 has a built in Blu Ray player, the cheapest way to get a player and gaming console.

and a media streamer too... can now look at pics on my TV, play vids and music streamed from the PC.

It's a remarkable bit of kit, much to my huge surprise.
