Could England Actually Win?

  crosstrainer 16:03 22 Aug 2009

Dare we dream the dream? Too many runs for them to lose (I think) But is a draw possible?

What an exiting end, to what has been a pretty dull series really....

Glued to the radio!

One way or another I think there will be a result.

It would be nice if they could reach a lead of 500+, but, I agree, it is certainly exciting!

I can't wait to see Ponting's face if we do manage it!

Still batting, Swann and Trot..Just hope the weather holds and that Broad and Swann can bowl like they did yesterday!

I take back my cynicism.

The answer to your thread question is YES!

They actually seem to be having fun out htere - Anderson scoring two fours off successive balls.

If we didn't win. A lead of 545 runs as I type is virtually unassailable.

They do have tonight and then a further two days in which to do it.

I bet there are a few aussies doing a rain dance tonight.

They may have two more days, but we have Stuart Broad :)

Forecast is good - should give them a right stuffing (my son's father-in-law is an Aussie - boy, am I looking forward to this!).

who will see this thread and wonder what on earth it's all about.

To those of you who are reading this in America, and China, and the many other countries who use the forum, the people who are posting here are talking about cricket, and in particular a game of cricket between England and Australia.

I won't even try to explain the complexities, suffice it to say that England is almost certain to beat Australia - something that will make England cricket fans go wild with excitement.

Then why the hell hasn't he been given the ball yet???

  Armchair 18:17 22 Aug 2009

Don't count your chickens etc. etc., lol.

I wish they'd put Harmison in to bat, and properly completed the innings. I'm probably being over cautious, but if we lose by a handful of runs.......
