"The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) is calling for a "private right to copy".

It would decriminalise millions of Britons who break the law each year by copying their CDs onto music players."

I was going to paste some more key points and add comments of my own, but this is such a well written piece, it deserves to be read in full and requires no 'punctuation' from myself!

Sense will prevail on this issue and it seems that even the establishment feels that the music industry has had all it's own way for too long.

dogbreath,
Since when has common sense had anything to do with profit making ? While the "big boys" hold sway then us tiddlers stand NO chance of getting what we consider our basic rights. All the music industry is doing is forcing the youngsters to use P2P sites and illegally download their favourite tracks. If they used a common sense approach then I think they would actually increase their sales of music.

I did post the full IPPR in my thread click here which gives more information.
