Now I'm not condoning what he did for an instant, a drunken yob is a drunken yob, and the ban is entirely justified, but six months for interrupting a football match?

People have got less for pulling a knife and using it.

I seen the incident in question on the TV and today read in the paper the person had got 6 months. I entirely agree with your sentiments, it seems to me that people get less for far more serious crimes.

created a situation in which there were fears for the safety of the players on the pitch, interrupted a high profile match and created a situation which might easily have provoked serious public disorder.

Would have been better if he had been given the £42,000 fine instead of Celtic FC. as well as the six months. He could have caused a pitch invasion and many innocent people could have been injured if not crushed to death.
