Competition to find silliest sign

I think the sign of the times is nigh. They are as bad as spam. Do they think we are all stupid and why is the sign not multi-lingual to conform with current political correctness. I think a lifebelt would be more useful because this would pull you under if it was thrown at you.

I was sent an email containing a few choice signs, the erectors of which deserve a place near the top of the idiocy ranking. One simply said "Do Not Read This Sign"

So did you?

I saw one recently by some road works which simply stated "This sign is not in use"

One I'm looking at now in a magazine. Had some letters "removed" to now read "Please d i e carefully, rough village."

The menu at a motorway service station on the M6 motorway, March 2005:
"Today's hot pudding - chocolate pudding and ice cream"

A Swiss mountain inn took a quite different approach with:
"Special today - no ice cream"

In a guest directory in a Japanese hotel:
"You are invited to take advantage of the chambermaid"

Sign in a Norwegian cocktail bar:
"Ladies are requested not to have children in the bar"

Sign in a tailor's on the Greek island of Rhodes:
"Order your summer suit. Because of big rush we will execute customers in strict rotation"

A Bucharest hotel relied on a simple insult:
"The lift is being fixed. During that time we regret you will be unbearable"
