could not resist this

'car parking information

to pay follow the steps below

step 1 Press yellow button

step 2 Insert 40p

step 3 Press green button for ticket

step 4 Place ticket in windscrean'

sorry, but I didnt quite grasp how to do that; could I have a practical demonstration?

You obviously have to

insert 40p into the yellow button

after pressing the green button to get the ticket
you then need to "unbond" the glass layers of the screen to place your ticket IN the windscreen.

There's a MacDonald's 'restaurant' near us which has a huge sign at the roadside saying:

Drive Thru
Exit Now

Awful American spelling aside, why would I want to drive through an exit?

  FungusBoggieman 16:05 02 Mar 2007

we have a road up the road from us the sign says one way the road is a dead end

  Fruit Bat /\0/\ 17:00 02 Mar 2007

why would I want to drive through an exit?

at Macdonalds?

would would want to stop and eat the food surely?

That's stretching the description a bit far, methinks. ;-))

I have seen a sign which simply stated:

as far as I can tell no one had.

  Watchful 17:57 02 Mar 2007

On the road into Manchester there is a sign saying...'Teeth Fixed While you Wait.'

There used to be a road sign in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire

"Cemetery Road"

"One Way Street"

Not there any longer as they changed the name to Broomhill Road but I've seen photographs.

Same road sign in Stapleford Nottinghamshire.

Is it somehing to do with the Nottinghamshire people you think?
