I've been given a nice little enamel lapel badge (click here). The person who gave it to me can't tell me anything about it, and I wonder whether any of the versatile crew on this forum can shed any light. The badge is about 1.5cm top to bottom.

TIA
Jim

I don't know much about this kind of thing and I was optimistically hoping to find a website into which you could put the key characteristics and get some likely matches. No luck, though. The Heraldry Society might be your best bet. click here

May be your best bet on this...I have an idea but I'm ususally wrong.

Puzzle solved within half an hour.

Remarkable forum, this...

Many thanks, everyone.

Thanks for your vote of confidence, however I have only just come on to the computer and, whilst endeavouring to identify the splendid little badge I fear it would have taken me a lot, lot longer :o(

Shame I didn't see this thread a bit earlier - I could have answered straight away as that picture has taken me back about 40 years. I was in the Crusaders in my youth and am pretty sure I have my badge lurking in the bottom of a drawer somewhere!
