Once again the Porthcawl Christmas morning charity swim is taking place. click here we watch it every year, but I,m afraid I,m too cold to enter. It,s a nice way to spend Christmas morning though. Does anyone else have a similar morning out?

Hope they get a good turnout but i will be at home nursing a bottle of Laphroaig and a mince pie

well I will be watching but nothing would entice me to enter the water. I,m amazed at the number of surfers who surf all year round. I suppose their wetsuits keep them warm

dip in London's Serpentine lake. Ample evidence - if any was needed - of the way that not every evolutionary development of the human mind went entirely to plan.

I shan't be joining them this year

We dont do xmas charity swims here,we save it for the hangover cure of new years day.I have only once ever been drunk/daft/hangover enough to actually enter the water in the harbour, and despite several cups of hot soup, tea, coffee after it seemed to take a week or more for the shivers to finally abate so wont be doing it again.
