Sorry it's the rail link from St Pancras to the Tunnel

will not be happy about this (selling the family jewels to pay for mistakes made by fat-cats etc., etc.) but frankly does it really matter who operates the high-speed link, as long as it's efficiently and safely run?

We had three very well used rail stations in the city that I live near, then lost two. The remaining station seems to turning into a back-water. I am beginning to wonder if Dr Beeching's spirit is still around.

We were suppose to have a Channel Tunnel link, but that as now been re-routed, so it now seems as though that idea as been destined to the litter bin.

Now, and for the next thirty years. That's some contract.

"does it really matter who operates the high-speed link, "

Well yes, I think it does.

Not just the link but overall, far too many of our industries and services are foreign owned/controlled.

I just don't think it's a good thing.
