I have just googled and have not found anything to prove to my family that the machines used for this project are still down there.Can anyone point me in the right/wrong direction?Apologies to all as this is not really a tech question unless of course a lesson in googling follows (and of course it keeps speakers corner going).Talking of Speakers Corner whatever happened to the Guy at Speakers Corner Tower Hill who used to chain himself up and stick pins through his flesh?Taffy
I have ssen one of the machines, it was neer the entrance of the tunnel. There HUGE!
The British machine was driven off to one side before the two ends joined together,it is still down there under the sea.The machine on view is the French one which was brought out of the almost completed tunnel.
He gave up, couldn't see the point of it anymore!
A lot of poeple feel that way about the chunnel :-)
