This cant be blamed on Kraft then

  canarieslover 18:35 09 Feb 2010

It seemed fairly obvious that Kraft were going to make changes when they bought Cadbury, so no surprise there.

I fail to see why anyone is surprised.

Another British institution sold down the river

  GANDALF <|:-)> 19:53 09 Feb 2010

Most of Cabury's production was abroad in any case and only 5600 staff were in the UK with 40000 being abroad, so 'British + Institution' is a bit of a misnomer. On the bright side (if there is one) Mandleson must be feeling sick as a plane to Lourdes now.

Wasn't this the old Fry's factory, taken over by Cadbury?

That particular "British Institution" went when it was taken over by a British company.

some time ago - before the Kraft takeover was on the cards.

and we've known about this for years, always been the plan to turn the whole area into flats.

Can't see it working though as the whole area floods terrbile when the river banks break, so much so that people wind surf on it!

Sad to see Cadbury taken over though I feel.

Doesn't alter the fact Kraft said one thing and did another. I only hope they can keep up the Payments on their enormous load.
