Hi,I am at college studying ECDL Level 2 and have been thinking about where to progress from this and I found this site:click hereI was wondering if anyone has actually done/doing the course above? If so how was/is it? I'm just asking because I am interested in this as it means it won't cause implications to my role as a carer. Thanks
Both my kids did a BTEC course, but not in computing. If I remember right they did it as a pre university course and it was considered equivalent to two and a half A Levels. Ask your tutors.
You can do BTEC as an entry route without any other quailfications. Achieving the BTEC allows access to higher/further eduation to diploma level, then onto degree
You could also get CompTIA A+ & Network+ and others. These are seen by the industry sometimes more worthwhile then BTEC & NVQ's.
I'm doing a BTEC IT course in highschool, pretty fun to.
I did an NVQ2 which is useless in the IT Industry. But employers look more at Cisco, Microsoft or CompTIA exams more. CompTIA exams can now be used towards credits with MCSA and other MS quals.
