ATI Catalyst Control Centre

Just wondered if anybody else has been as disappointed with ATI's latest wheeze designed to allow users greater control of there ATI cards.

In use I have found it to be slow to load (with an annoying splash screen that you can't disable) and somewhat clunky in use.

The standard control panel in contrast is easy to use and access and not hamstrung by been 'over engineered' for the purpose its designed to perform.

Consequently it wasn't long before I removed it from my system.

I really rate ATI based cards, but the Catalyst Centre has been troublesome in my experience. It even cased a complete freeze on one machine.

These days, I just use the drivers without all the other "bells and whistles".
