Apple facing lawsuit ...

over shrinking iPhone and iPad storage following iOS 8 update.

This is the article .

Not sure if this is going anywhere. We all know the difference between a manufacturer's GB and the OS GB sizes. True of all OSs they take some of that storage space to work. That has been the accepted norm. So, without knowing how larger iOS 8 takes compared to iOS 7 I don't know. All I know was that it took a greater amount of space to install iOS 8, but once installed, that usage was returned?

A bit late, I know, but the latest advice is to download OS8 into iTunes and then update your device through iTunes. This is supposed to take up a lot less storage memory. I cannot verify from personal experience because I too was caught out, before I saw this. Maybe something for next time.
