Anyone tried Microsoft Bing yet?

Microsoft's new search/decision engine 'Bing' is now live. Our reviewer was fairly. Anyone been brave enough to give it a go? Any initial thoughts?

Here's our review, click here , and some initial analysis from another contributor: click here

'Our reviewer was fairly'

- don't even know what I was trying to say!

Its not a bad search engine, the Image search is better than Googles, but normal search isn't, its a bit slower as well, so I'll stick with Google.

Not too bad and found it reasonably quick with its searches. But when I asked for a particular hotel in Bermuda the first on the list was one in Sri Lanka although I had specified Bermuda.

Can I sue them for pinching my nick-name? (Well one of them anyway).

Can't you edit it?

  Managing ed 17:31 01 Jun 2009

I think perhaps if you sign in with a Windows Live ID you can?

Yeah you can edit it slightly but not much, maybe when its out of Beta testing there will be more options, for now its the usual, safesearch, results per page, languages etc...

is a revelation, very fast and accurate.

Unfortunate name.

In Scotland a bing is a coal mine waste tip, same like slag heap in Wales!

First impressions are not good for me, the image on the main page is irritating,
Least with google its no fuss, just a plain while background and with Igoogle you can customize it to how you want.

May in the future be a contender but for now i will stick to google.
