Hi I Have a Type IKEA S9203 transformer which reduces to 12 volts.

It had 4 working lights on it and the max was 20Watts, (4X lights Max 20W 240V 50Hz.)

I want to use it for Kitchen lighting with 6 X 10W MR11 12V bulbs. (Is This Safe)

According to the instructions on the down-lighters I have just bought MR11s 35w is max or MR16 is max at 50w.

Watts are easy, just add them together.
Your previous set-up using 4X20W bulbs would be 80W, drawing 6.7 Amps.
The new set-up with 6X10W bulbs is 60W, drawing 5 Amps.
12W bulbs is 72W (6A), 20W bulbs is 120W (10A).
Look on the transformer for the maximum rated load.

Of course, you could invest in LED bulbs click here
