Apple's Airport Express is a little Wi-Fi device that: expands your Wi-Fi coverage; acts as a wireless printer hub, a cat5 network extender, and lastly as a wireless digital to analogue converter for music. I connect the Airport Express to my Hi-Fi via a 3.5mm stereo jack to phonos L+R. I play iTunes on my Mac PowerBook laptop and beam the music wirelessly to my Hi-Fi. The quality is acceptable, not up to high end Hi-Fi. One other advantage is that you can use iTunes' equalizer for those really naff old recordings. Modern recordings sound fine with the equaliser switched out. Play iTunes and surf the net simultaneously.
