Now don't get me wrong....I know that advertising makes the world go round.

It's now becoming a major irritant here.

Any ideas?

Maybe we could all contribute a small fee and be rid :))

Should there be a link here somewhere????

  tullie 15:28 03 May 2009

If you mean the PCA Site,i have no problem with adds.

  rdave13 15:34 03 May 2009

Same as tullie, no difference to the amount of ads here, same as usual.

I've said it countless times before - Firefox with Adblock plus.

This is how the site looks with Adblock installed:

Same as tullie and rdave13, same amount of ads and links here.

Long live ads.

Subsidised magazines and newspapers, and free television and websites.

I don't mind the banner ads - it's the underlined keywords that bug me, bringing up ads that you then have to manually close.

Does Adblock stop this?

In Opera, Site Prefrences, Scripting, and Disable Javascript for this site.

  Si_L 20:33 03 May 2009

It does indeed. I wasn't sure what you were talking about and so I had to check on a different browser.

If any adverts escape the filter you can right click and add them to the filter list too. I have only found a few adds on the internet that this won't work on, one being the Broadband ad on the top right on this site.
