Adobe reader

Just an annoying observation... Why is it that every time I open a PDF, Adobe reader tells me it needs to update?

I've never known anything to need so many constant updates.

Maybe get rid and use Foxit?

Adobe bloatware...
get rid and use this

superb alternative...

Adobe reader is terrible. Bloat, locks up machines, always wanting to contact home.

Foxit is a breath of fresh air for a PDF reader.

  Quickbeam 19:09 19 Nov 2009

I'll give it a try.

Thanks all, bookmarked for later investigation!

At 208mb on the system it is certainly that. How much space does Foxit use by comparison?

  MAT ALAN 19:58 19 Nov 2009

5.8Mb... no contest.

  QuizMan 19:59 19 Nov 2009

9.66Mb on my system. I agree with the other recommendations; you will not regret the switch. It loads up almost instantly.

  Quickbeam 19:59 19 Nov 2009

Why does Adobe need 208 just to read the odd pdf on the net?
