3 Queens

Working for a company in Southampton docks, I have just had the pleasure of standing on the roof as the sun goes down, to watch Cunards 3 Queens salute each other with blasts on their horns. it was an impressive sight, but a little saddening as QE2 will not be sailing from Southampton many more times. The size difference betwen the ships (or is it boats, I'm never sure)is quite amazing, the QM2 being almost twice the size of the QE2. Although the QE2 is still the best looking.

They are ships not boats. Boats sink ie submarines are boats!

it doesn't matter - they are an amazing sight.

Interesting to see that while the Queen Mary 2 is somewhere in the region of 160,000t, next year Southampton docks will see a ship weighing in at an astonishing 250,000t! Project Genesis will be the largest passenger liner afloat.
