Zone Alarm Pro

Have been using this for several years & it slows my PC down. 2 people have told me I don't need it if my Windows XP firewall is turned on. ZA coming up for renewal. Do I really need it? I have AVG free anti virus and Lavasoft Ad-Aware installed. Would I need anti spyware?

Dont rely on the XP Firewall

I think that you will find that the general consensus is that it would be unwise to rely on the Windows firewall and that most of the freebies,as smackheadz suggests, will offer a better level of protection.
Here is another link to aid your choice.

Thanks to you both. If I decide to use one of the freebees does anyone know how to completely uninstall every bit of Zone Alarm Pro?

but personally I would use Revouninstaller:
click here creates a restore point seeks out and runs the programs own un-install process
...and then it goes back into your registry and clears out any debris still left behind after the un-install.
