Zip files

  DÕ DÕ 10:29 06 Dec 2004

I download zip files and I don't know how to un-zip.When I go to the file to unzip up comes an application for me to enter the code to be able to un-zip,where do I get this from.
Any help will be appreciated.

I take it you are not using XP as you should be able to opn a zipped file just by clicking on it.

If its asking for a code then it wants you to buy the software.

I have never had any problems like that, I have right clicked on the file and extract to file, this should then unpack the file in the same place as the zipped version.

Hope that helps

Another good free one is ENZIP. You can download the free utility enzip300.exe (1.47MB) from this University College website

Do you mean the zip file(s) are "password protected"?
