yellow question mark in device manager

in device manager under other devices
Multimedia Audio Controller
Network Controller
Pci Input Device
all have yellow question marks
i have disabled them then when re starting it say it has found new hardware put in the disk,i have tried different disks but not sure which one can any one help?
also in event manager i have a error messages Boot-start drive failed to load SYMTDI
any help would be apprieciated

Well I know what the Muiltimedia Audio Contoller is its your On Bord Sound you will need too go into your BIOS too disable it

A yellow question mark usually just means the drivers arent installed for that device.

Usually the drivers for these are on the Motherboard Cd,On board sound,LAN card,pci modem,i would think they are,if you don't need any of these enter the bios and disable them.

If you don't have a sound card the sound will be on the motherboard. You'll probably find the drivers on the motherboard drivers disc. If you insert that disc when asked by the new hardware wizard that should work

It may be that the network controller etc drivers will also be there
