I have been advised that I am a winner of £500,000
pounds, and to contact the Royal Bank of Scotland
Is this a true lottery, or is it a scam

To johnnyrocker No I have not entered, as I too thought it was a scam. I cannot imagine Yahoo providing 5 times £500,00 pounds. Saxlingham

In addition to the good advice from johnnyrocker and Sparkly, when you get spam like this never dial a telephone number given by them. You could end up with a massive phone bill.

Hi,Just wondering you do not happen to be a pensioner are you,I have followed a few of those scams on here and I am sure{or nearly sure]that most of those scam e-mails are getting sent to pensioners.I won 795.00 Euro's about six weeks ago it would be nice to win it.But if you are not in it you can't win it.First time I have seen them using the bank of Scotland,Are you north of the border.

To buteman
Yes I am a pensioner, so you may well be right, but I am not north of the border, just North Norfolk. It is a scam,so beware. Saxlingham
