Xtra Power more data connectors or extender?

  jack 13:48 24 Jul 2004

I had a brilliant idea.
I'll put another HDD on the machine for pictures.
I asked you chaps and got the answers to my queries.
Good so orft to the fair tomorrow to see what bargains are to be had.
Oh I had better take a peek inside the machine to see what goes where.
Oops ! Another good idea bites the dust
I discover that although I have bays galore for the drive, the data cable is all taken up
with primary drive and internal zip drive.
So a longer cable with more connectors? Some sort of doubling connector - what?
So pondering that I came across the dead stopper - or have I
No spare power connectors all taken up with the 2CD's zip, flop, and primary
Now what to do, can I obtain some sort doubling connector?
Should I?
Is perhaps the power supply at its limit, although of course there no occasions, when
all the drives are running, primary and the slave all the time if and when installed but only one of the others at any one time.

Thank you in anticipation chaps

what wattage is the psu?

The power question is easily overcome with a splitter cable you can get for 50-odd pence. But if you've 2 cd drives,HDD and a zip you've no spare IDE unless you employ a PCI IDE controller to give you the extra connections.
