XP WMI Services

Since installing a linksys router, my wmi services have become crrupt, and I am unable to use either wireless or cabled network connections. I have rolled back to the cleanest state possible but the problem remains. Is there a way to fix this without re-installing xp?

Might be worth trying to re-load WMI

Back again... the version of the core on the ms website is only for windows 9x not for xp... cant seem to find it in the library I guess if you cannot get back using system restore then you have to re-install xp..... any more thoughts?

To replace corrupt files in XP type

sfc /scannow

in the run box and press ok XP will scan and replace corrupt / missing files (you may need your XP CD in the drive.

Cheers, I will try that now!

Tried the file checker, all ok, but have tracked this down to an .net issue (I think) can enable the network adapters by right clicking and asking windows to enable the device... however, wmi still corrupt.... could be a microsoft update issue?
