Vista install onto XP machine ,works except for internet.
Initially it said card needs a driver and give derails.
Driver downloaded on another machine, put on drive and installed successfully
Now being told no hardware found which seems daft is the hardware was specified for driver.
So loaded the MoBo utilities disk in hopecsomethingvuseful may be there.
HerecthevCD drive casks forca disk and opens draweryetvit runs andvinstallescother
Any suggestions please.
Any thoughts please why now network card driver is installed the system cannot detect the net work card
Having in the first insurance the system put up driver needs an specified which.
Vista or XP?
Are you dual booting or have you wiped XP and installed vista in its place?
sta total install
In device manager uninstall the network card
reboot the machine (make and model?) and let windows find new hardware it may then reinstall the driver or ask for one if so point it towards the driver on the usb stick.
Thank you FB
It will be Weds before I get back to this one.
